Tracks [Silver]

First up was the TRACK finals. We qualified for all events.

The stadium was noticeably much emptier compared to the heats, because most halls only had 1 or 2 events to run.

4X100m Females
Runners: Mingxiu, Anna, Nat, Shalene

The girls entered this event as the underdog, but emerged FIRST, much to Seng kiak's shock. haha. Hall 3 was 5th

4X100m Males
Runners: Me, Seng Kiak, Gabriel, Xiaofeng

We ended up 3rd for this event. Hall 3 was first.

4X400m Females
Runners: Sarah Soo, Xinni, Rita, Anna

Our monster girls got FIRST again for this event, by a far margin. Hall 3 was left trailing in our wake. They were 3rd (i think).

4X400m Males
Runners: Boon (Henry seah), Seng Kiak, Chin Mian, Collin

Very good effort by our guys, who ended up 2nd behind Hall 3.

At this point of time, in terms of points, we were now leading Hall 3, as long as our medley (800m mixed) stuck within 1 position (i.e. they 2nd we 3rd) of Hall 3,
the track overall champion would be ours!

4X800m Medley
Runners: Sarah Soo, Max, Rita, Collin

The four of them ran their guts out, and managed to get 2nd, just behind Hall 3, who were first.

We were the track champions..........not.

As luck would have it, Hall one got disqualified in the 4X100m females, and Hall 3 thus moved up one place. After this, we were now tied on points, so it came
down to our gold medal count. They had 3....and we had 2.

Overall result : Hall 3 first, Hall 6 second.

Still, everyone put in their best effort, be it for the race or for training, so good job guys! And special praise for "dedicated" coach seng kiak la.

RUGBY Quarter Finals VS HALL 3

Our rugby team took on Hall 3 in the quarter finals, and put up more than a good fight against the more experienced hall 3 team. We lost 12-7 (I know it
looks like a big score, but actually they lost by one try only. One try = 5 points. For those who dont know what a try is, go google.)

Hall 3 opened the scoring straight away from the kick off when one of their players made a solo run, evading our defence and touched down for a try. He converted the subsequent spotkick for a 7-0 lead to hall 3.

Our boys began to settle down, and make use of their possession better. The tackles were coming in more confidently. Shortly after hall 3 scored, Gabriel received the ball and sprinted down the entire flank of the field (just like him doing 100m in track in the morning) for a try. He did this once in the heats too i heard.ha
Paul converted the spotkick, we were not level 7-7.

The next half was pretty even, but as the match was ending, Hall 3 got a something, i dont know what you call it leh. Ill call it freekick la. They missed the spotkick though. But there was not enough time for our guys to catch up. Final score: 12-7

Good job guys. Was a great result. Nurse those injuries please.
