Basketball-Male Preliminary
Hall6 vs Hall9
81 : 07
Basketball(M): Hall 6 vs Hall 9
First match of basketball (M) saw a great win over hall 9(81:07)
1st Quarter: 16:5
As this is the first match of basketball male, our players played strongly and wisely.
At the beginning, hall 9 got the jump ball. But we steal the ball from them, and score first. Then we score several points continuously. However, hall 9 attacks back and get 5 points from us; at this critical moment, No. 8 scored two points and got a penalty shot, which wins the cheers from our supporters and keeps our players’ morale up.
2nd Quarter 17:2
From the 2st quarter, our players have changed the strategy: we play half-court, trying to prevent our opponents from holding the ball and find chance to steal the ball. As shown later, this is a wise strategy and our players steal the ball successfully many times. After stealing the ball, we play fast break, so we scored many points while hall 9 only got 2 points.
3rd Quarter 30:0
We continue with the half-court strategy and even enlarge the defense area near to our basket. We steal, shoot, and score to get the points. At the same time, our players defense so well that Hall 9 didn’t get any points for this quarter.
4th Quarter 18:0
By now, the victory is already in our hand. But our players maintained their morale and keep their excellent defense. With the cheering from our supporters, our team won the game with a tremendous score: 81:07.
It’s good news that we win the first basketball match, however, there’s still a long way ahead towards the champion. We need to keep our skills and morale so that united; Hall 6 will be the best.

Hall6 vs Hall8
Basketball-Female Preliminary
Hall6 vs Hall8
60 : 09
This is a very successful match and a very big surprise to us all. Personally speaking, before watching the match, I was not very familiar with the sports events in halls and also our excellent girls in the team. However, this match brought me much excitement and a very big opportunity to get to know the basketball girls as well as the spirit of Hall 6.
Generally, we had a very successful beginning quarter with a score of 6:0. The girls’ excellent skills were very impressive, especially their flexible movement and aggressive attacks. But what impressed me the most is the teamwork between the members. Everyone was able to score and the entire team all fought for the same goal and set up every offence or defense systematically and smoothly.
Our team had kept down the opponents until in the middle of the match, where Hall 8’s team began to counterattack and managed to score. Nonetheless, the control was still in our hands. The opponents attempted to take three-point shots but unfortunately with a very low hit rate, while our brilliant girls proceeded steadily and step by step, which a larger and larger gap between the scores and finally the success of the match with a score of 60:9.
One girl that caught my attention is NO. 24, Anna, who played a very important part in our final victory. She had very outstanding personal skills, especially her quick movements, aggressive intercepts and very high hit rate in the entire match. I happened to have talked to her before the match and she didn't seemed nervous at all about the match. But definitely it was not just her, all our six’s basketball girls had this kind of confidence and great skills which helped them to make progress and move forward.
Way to go, our sports girls!
