Hall 6 vs Hall 13
9 : 2

Vengeance is sweet indeed.

With us walking Hall 13 home with a 2-0 in the knock out round, our girls came back stronger in the crucial match against the very same opponent. Our girls were determined to win the game and qualify for Quarters, at the same, to break the swinging drought of our opponent – not to walk them home but strike them out!

Batting first, our girls did us proud by scoring a beautiful 7 – 0 warranting the Mercy rule. With Shaz’s awesome batting skills that brought her home (I’m sure all who were there knew what happened), it concretized our victory and our girls just had to hold our fort in fielding.

With the morale raised and determination to win the game, our girls put up a fight to hold them. But stubbornly, they refused to swing and probably hoped for a walk to the base (like the previous match). To their dismay, we weren’t going to walk them home. Ah Pok took over and started pitching. Being stubborn, the girls refused to swing despite the taunts thinking that we would once again walk them to victory. FAT HOPE!! Ah Pok intimidated them with her pitching skills that were accumulated over the years by giving them a strike, and with 1 SSO (standing strike out) to their disadvantage, the swinging drought was broken!

The first ever swing made by Hall 13 went straight to Shin and one player was tagged out. The second swing got the ball flying straight into our pitcher’s direction and wala! Ah Pok beautifully caught the ball with her glove and the game ended with an awesome POTFLY!

What a splendid ending! Great job girls! Keep that fire burning and we’re gonna take the rest down too!
