SOCCER Quarter Finals VS Hall 4

Hall 6's most sexy and handsome sports team took on Hall 4 in the quarter finals on Sunday. The match was scheduled at an unearthly hour of 730am. Amazingly, everyone managed to wake up.
Anyway, We demolished Hall 4 with an emphatic victory, and tore apart their record of not conceding any goals since the preliminaries in the process, knocking 4 past a hapless Hall 4 defence. We could easily have gone 5 or 6 up.

Right from the get go, we dominated possession and gave Hall 4 no chance to attack. Shots were raining down on the Hall 4 goal, and it was a matter of time before they broke.
Around the 20th minute I think, I (its not you Reuben) got brought down by a late challenge. Foul = free kick. Juffri took the freekick from the right of the penalty area, and scored. Not very nice la. Tyco one. 1-0 to us.

We kept up the relentless pressure, and had a lot of corner kicks because their kan jiong defenders kept clearing the ball out. At one point of time we had 7 corner kicks in succession, as Hall 4 could only scramble the ball away in panic everytime.
After that, not much. Then we got another corner. The ball came in and reached Juffri, and he calmly layed it for Melvyn (quek) to shoot. With a defender closing down on him, Melvyn slotted it a la Michael Carrick into the bottom right, 2-0.

Half time

Kicked off the game, and it was still all Hall 6. Within minutes, we already had a few chances to increase our lead, but did not capitalise. Then about 50th minute, Yanfu whipped in a delicious cross from the left
which evaded everyone and came nicely to Reuben who was at the far end of the penalty area. Wait ah, I go find the report on Hall 6 vs Hall 8 one, going to copy and paste again. Dont want to waste time describing this kind of tyco goals.
Ok, Reuben SMASHED a FEROCIOUS shot towards the far end of the Hall 8 goal, and it was UNSTOPPABLE, leaving the keeper flailing and stranded. 3-0. And Reuben celebrated like he just got 5.0 for his GPA. Understandable la. He seldom scores. :)

60th minute (approx), Juffri got the ball somewhere outside the penalty area, and shot low. The ball was moving very slowly, but the keeper still couldnt save it. Goal. 4-0. Tyco goal Juffri.
Ok i think i better stop saying all the goals tyco, or else later Juffri angry. The goal was quite nice~

The team continued foraging in the Hall 4 half, and came close alot of times. It was a wonder we didnt increase our 4 goal tally.

Overall, it was a good game. But like what fuhang said, the scoreline was so flattering because Hall 4 played to our strengths, so we wont be getting complacent after this result.
Next game would be against Hall 2 (semi finals), who beat hall 7 5-4 pen shootout after 1-1 normal time. The other semi finals is Hall 3 vs some other hall, dont know which one.
Very crucial game, if we can beat hall 2, i think we can easily beat anyone.

Started (Subbed): Waileong, Lv Xing (Seng Kiat), Melvyn (Audi), Weihao, Melvin, Reuben (Matthew), Fuhang, Ethan (Winston), Yanfu, Juffri, Bernard (Diyar)
