WaterPolo [Silver]

Hall6 vs Hall3
6 : 13

Battle of the best. That is the spirit of IHG and it can be seen in today polo finals match.

Hall 6 knows that we are lacking in terms of skills (the other team have national players  while ours are majority made up of hall residents who picked up the sports only in hall) but we made it up with our fighting spirit.

The moment the whistle blows, both teams started to attack aggressively. However, it was obvious that from the beginning, the other team have the upper hand as we trailed 1-4 just minutes into the match. Yet our guys swam fast and hard for every ball as they do not want to give the other team an easy win. One persn to take note of is our goalie, Ding Yong.

There was a penalty at the last quarters(I think it should be called a penalty as it was one player against our goalie) and he managed to block it! Towards the end there were a few fantastic blocks that he made! He IS a superb goalie as he’s still only a year 1 and yet he can perform well despite playing against a team with national players.

Despite all this, we lost to the other team. However, I believe it was a good match as our polo boys do not give up until the very end. They may not be the most skilled polo players but they make it up with their fighting spirit and the desire to give their all and best despite pitting their skills against better skilled players. So, to Hall 6 polo boys a job well done and hope they come back next year stronger, faster and better!

On a side note, this loss only made the remaining sports especially basketball guys to even want to slaughter Hall 3 in their upcoming match. Come on Hall 6 Bball guys! No mercy for the upcoming match!
