Hall6 vs Hall7
51 : 14

Basketball Female

Hall 6(F) vs. Hall 7(F)

51:14

A great victory for Hall 6!

1st Quarter: Score: 11:3

The match starts with a bang! An array of young athletic female players hit the court with utmost zeal and zest, with only one goal; VICTORY! Supporters chant their hall anthems, judges and referees fully focused on the scene in front, and the players…..in a battle! Hall 6 pursues dominance over the opponent (Hall 7) and succeeds via a good show of discipline and talent. Hall 7 struggles to break through and manages only a few points before the whistle goes off…End of 1st Quarter.

2nd Quarter: Score: 31:8

Hall 6 starts off while all the players remain in one half of the court. The ordeal for Hall 7 continues with strong attack and shrewd defense by Hall 6. Some pretty amazing baskets are witnessed, mostly scored by the sixians and a few dispersed moments of joy for Hall 7 too, but…..the damage has been done!

3rd Quarter: Duration: 10 minutes Score: 45:14

Following the usual drinks and meeting break where both the teams discuss their approach and strategy, the 3rd Quarter begins on the whistle. Surprisingly, Hall 7 gets the initial possession of the ball and tries desperately to score, but the ever-strong defensive tactics of the sixians hurdle their way. Hall 6, yet again, comes strong and scores frequently. In the quest for victory, Hall 7 induces a few fouls too. Overall, the Quarter belongs to Hall 6…again!

4th Quarter: Duration: 10 minutes Score: 51:14

A disaster for Hall 7! A show of complete technical dominance by Hall 6, especially in their defensive abilities. Though a few inaccurate passes observed amongst both teams, the net level of the game remains good so does the extent of the players’ commitment. A notable injury afflicts a Hall 7 player while defending, a sight leading to emotional overflow perhaps. Not to forget, some substitutions seen too during the course of the match.

THE RESULT: HALL 6 WINS

A supreme win for the sixians, yet another proof that Hall 6 stands tall and strong in the field of female basketball. ALL HAIL THE SIXIANS!!!

‘We didn’t lose the game. We just ran outta time.’- Vince Lombardi

This sums up our amazing soccer match today. What began as a lazy sunny Sunday afternoon erupted into blazes! I guarantee this post would make those who weren’t there wish they were. So the moral of the story is-> come down for more games, so u can join in the drama =)

2:00 First whistle. Hall 11 kicks off. (BUT OF COURSE, WE QUICKLY REGAIN POSSESSION)

At the 18th minute, a sweep of golden hair and an amaze-balls tap from Bernard!!!!...

GOAL!!!!

Alas, everything went downhill from here. We literally got ‘tocked’ by not hall 11, but the referee, whose eyes definitely had stamps A4 size paper stuck on them.

Thanks to his awesome and super professional call, a penalty was awarded to hall 11.

Our boys kept their cool and Wai Leong got in position to take the penalty. (heartbeat accelerates).

No.88 from hall 11 takes the shot. AND HE MISSESSSS!!!...

Wai leong could’ve just gone for a kopi break and had some kaya toast cos it wasn’t even CLOSE.

Half time score: 1-0 (hall 6)

Just as the second half began, YanFu subs in for Weijin, Reuben subs in for Lv Xing, Gabriel subs in for Bernard(later). Goal attempts by Yanfu, Juffri.

Hall 11 scored. (yawn)

Total sucker punch. Hall 11, was AGAIN awarded a penalty! AMAZE-balls!!..2 fRIGGIN’ minutes before the end of the game. It was a clear bad call, because Melvyn had possession of the ball and it was a completely clean challenge!!

So, hall 11 scored. Time got in the way. Our guys were awesome and deserve a pat on the back for their ball possession and creative game play.

We shall just pray our paths meet so we can SCHOOL hall 11 in soccer. because we sure as hell know that their performance AFTER the match was much more exciting than what they gave us during.

Peace out.
