The weather did not look promising for our long awaited first game to be played as the rain gets heavier. But things turned out right when the rain miraculously stopped as our team started our warm-up in the cold and windy Saturday evening. Supporters gradually emerged despite being a Saturday evening. We don on our purple jersey as we prepare ourselves to start the game proper with hall 14 wearing ‘their’ green jersey.

Hall 14 started the first half and it was a slow start for hall 6. Despite having the majority of the possession, we did not manage to find the breakthrough for the first 15 mins. We did not have to wait for too long before the drought was over as Collin managed to get his debut goal into the net through a corner taken by Juffri. Hall 6 began to run riot soon after as Juffri scored the 2^nd goal for hall 6 in style with his trademark takraw move. Collin doubled his debut game tally by poaching on a defensive error from hall 14 all thanks to a clearance header from Kennard. Juffri scored the 4^th goal by taking another corner that curled straight into the net. The keeper simply had no chance to stop that goal from happening. Hall 6 was 4-0 up when the first half whistle was blown.

Chung Chi made an immediate impact when he came in as a substitute for Collin bringing the goal tally for hall 6 to 5 within minutes of the 2^nd half. Hall 6 managed to retain much of the possession but a sudden lapse of concentration allowed hall 14 to slip pass our defence and the striker placed it into our top left hand corner which was beyond the reach of our full-stretched keeper Ziyi. Khai sealed off debut game for hall 6 in style as he calmly skips pass the last defender to slot home the 6^th goal to make it 6-1.

Well done for hall 6 soccer team. It is a good start but I’m sure we’ll end the season even better.
