Interview with Hockey Male Captain, Ian Chew:

Q. Having played for the hall last year as well, how different was the IHG experience for you [e.g. different team dynamics/ players/ etc]?

Ian: The experience was slightly different cos I am the captain this year and there is a slight pressure on me to perform. The team was also different as the team lost a few key players to attachments and other reasons and hence we had to work with a fresh pool of people. The experience was still very enjoyable as the team showed great spirit and performed well.
Q: Were there any particular challenges you faced as the captain of the hockey team?
Ian: The challenges I faced was getting the players down for trainings. As our hall players are all busy with other sports as well it was tough to organise trainings where everyone can be present. We also had many ppl who were playing hockey for the first time so we had to train harder to compete with the halls with experienced players.
Q. Is there anything you want to say to your team mates?
Ian: I just wanna say that I m very proud of every single one of them. We have a very talented squad of players and we will definitely perform better next year!We showed really good team spirit and determination in the games and I was very touched by their passion and enthusiasm. I wish they will be able to keep this passion with them and continue to play hockey for hall 6 together for the next games!
